Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about BKSC, membership, and our community

General Questions

What is BKSC?

The Brevard Kinkster's sub Club (BKSC) is a mentorship-focused community organization for submissives within the Brevard County, Florida kink scene. We provide education, peer support, and resources for submissives of all experience levels.

Who can join BKSC?

Anyone who identifies as submissive, is exploring submission, or is questioning their role within power exchange dynamics is welcome to apply. You must be 18 years or older and agree to uphold our Code of Conduct. We welcome all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship structures.

Do I need to be experienced in BDSM to join?

No! BKSC welcomes submissives at all experience levels, from complete beginners to those with years of experience. Our curriculum and mentorship program are designed to meet you where you are in your journey.

Is BKSC only for people in D/s relationships?

No. BKSC is for anyone interested in exploring submission, whether you're currently in a dynamic, single, polyamorous, or just curious. You don't need to have a Dominant partner to participate.

What does "sub" mean in BKSC?

In BKSC, "sub" refers to submissives—people who experience fulfillment through consensual surrender of control in power exchange dynamics. We use lowercase "s" (sub) when referring to the role, as is traditional in the community.

Membership Questions

How do I apply for membership?

Start by filling out our contact form or sending a message through FetLife. You'll complete an application questionnaire, participate in a vetting interview, and attend three meetings as an observer before full membership is confirmed.

Is there a membership fee?

BKSC operates on a voluntary contribution model. We suggest $5-10 per meeting to cover venue costs and materials, but no one is turned away for inability to pay. Scholarships are available.

What is the probationary period?

New members attend their first three meetings as observers before gaining full participation privileges (voting, leadership roles). This allows you to get to know the community and ensures BKSC is a good fit for you.

Can I bring my Dominant partner to meetings?

BKSC meetings are specifically for submissives to create a safe space for peer support and learning. However, we occasionally host events where partners are welcome. Check with leadership for specific event policies.

What if I'm not sure I'm submissive?

That's okay! Many people join BKSC while exploring their identity. Our educational content and supportive community can help you understand yourself better, regardless of where your journey leads.
